the edinburgh castle is probably the most iconic piece of edinburgh. stroll along the cobblestone streets of the royal mile to the castle for a tour and a beautiful view of the city.

stroll through the stockbridge neighborhood for window shopping and quaint bars. the stockbridge market is open on sundays at the jubilee gardens.

take the train to st. andrews to stroll through the medieval city, university of st. andrews and the famous links of st. andrews golf course. the dunvegan pub which is just a few feet from the course and is a cozy corner pub perfect for a pint.

  • the scotsman hotel is centrally located between old town and new town in a gorgeous building from the early 1900s that used to be the home of the scotsman newspaper.

  • the principal hotel is located in new town on charlotte square.  this boutique hotel used to be seven individual georgian townhomes that are transformed into a gorgeous scottish experience.

to eat.

  • dishoom is a vibrant and popular spot inspired by the irani cafes of bombay. go here for brunch or dinner- both are amazing.

  • scran and scallie is the causal and quaint gastropub from the famed team behind the michelin star restaurant the kitchen.
